Campfire, Fireworks and Wingardium Leviosa.

So last night I went camping with some good friends! My best friend and his wife, my girlfriend, my friends Nikki and John, and Nikki’s little sister Madison. Considering I won’t be home to shoot off fireworks or anything of that nature… this was a nice substitute. We arrived at Nikki’s and swam for a little bit, set up camp, and made some campfire hotdogs and smores. It really was just such a nice time soaking in the night and drinking in the good times. It was a much needed break from work and from Lexington… but at the same time it felt really nice to come back to my own bed this morning.

That was just a quick update about my day. What I really wanted to share on my blog today was a moment I shared with my roommate a few days ago that exemplifies how big of a nerd I really am. Taylor, my roommate, and I went out to Chipotle (Taylor had a buy one get one coupon) a few days ago after running a few errands (this is the day I closed my account out at BB&T).

Anyways… as most of my friends know… I’m a fanboy when it comes to Harry Potter. Taylor and I also have a conversation about Chipotle versus Qdoba at least once a week. This is a highly debated topic as well. Regardless… knowing that Taylor has a preference for Qdoba and I recently became a bigger fan of Chipotle… we compared Chipotle and Qdoba in terms of Harry Potter.

I made the bold statement that Chipolte was Harry Potter and Taylor was quick-witted and replied with, “Does that make Qdoba Voldemort?” Immediately, I said yes. Taylor also knows that I have a weakness for Qdoba’s Queso so he was like, “I don’t know… Queso is really good.” Well... Voldemort makes becoming a death eater a nice offer… you know… new world order and everything. But this definitely didn’t sway him entirely.

Well, Taylor’s B1G1 coupon resulted from him attending a Pride festival in Lexington where Chipotle was handing out coupons. So my next statement was, “Did Qdoba hand out coupons at Pride? No. I think we know which one is Harry Potter.” Winning.

Now… I think I need to ask him which one is Harry Potter when it comes to frozen yogurt Fro-Jos or Orange Leaf. I think I know the answer… but we’ll find out.
